EOD Art Exhibit on DISPLAY during the 2017 World Rowing Championships!

2017 World Rowing Championships Art Exhibit
on display at Nathan Benderson Park
September 23rd - October 4th

Embracing Our Differences, in partnership with the 2017 World Rowing Championships, and Benderson Development Company, is proud to present a unique art exhibit featuring 59 works created by local Sarasota and Manatee county students representing the diversity of the 70+ countries participating in the regatta.

The art is a collection of compelling multicultural artistic statements reflecting the student artists' experiences while learning about diverse cultures and experiences, becoming, in the process, a vital part of the larger global community.

The exhibit will be on display throughout the 2017 World Rowing Championships from Saturday, September 23rd to Wednesday, October 4th at Nathan Benderson Park.

Embracing Our Differences
Embracing Our Differences is a not-for-profit that uses the transformative power of art and education to celebrate the diversity of the human family. Since 2004, downtown Sarasota's Island Park has been the backdrop for Embracing Our Differences' colorful, larger-than-life canvases integrating powerful imagery and thought-provoking messages celebrating diversity and inclusion. The annual exhibit is the heart of a year-round comprehensive series of educational initiatives and resources designed for teachers and students making Embracing Our Differences one of the largest education programs in Southwest Florida.

Returning to the United States for the first time in more than 20 years, the World Rowing Championships, the largest regatta of the year, is organized by international rowing's governing body, the Fédération Internationale des Sociétés d'Aviron (FISA). It is the goal of FISA to develop, promote, present and govern the sport of rowing; and protect the environment through sport. From September 23rd through October 1st, more than 40,000 spectators and 1,700 athletes will descend on "America's Course," Nathan Benderson Park.

Benderson Development Company is one of the nation's largest privately held real estate companies owning, developing and managing over 700 properties, encompassing more than 40 million square feet, in 38 states. The diverse company's portfolio includes retail, office, industrial, hotel, residential and land holdings. Headquartered in Sarasota, Benderson Development has championed a number of causes including development of Nathan Benderson Park, a world class rowing facility which has hosted numerous competitions including the 2017 World Rowing Championships.
